Nervous

Posted in Group:

We have been struggling to have a baby for 4 years. We have done 3 IUI cycles and 1 IVF cycle resulting in two pregnancies and two devastating miscarriages. We will be starting another IVF cycle next week and I am more nervous and scared now then ever before. It was so much harder to move past the 2nd miscarriage and I don't know if I can handle a 3rd. Everyone says keep positive thoughts but it is impossible to not let the fear and doubt creep in.

Big dreams usually have huge fears attached. Success rates for IVF increase as your stress decreases, try doing Yoga, practicing meditation and deep breathing, positive imaging-picture success (healthy pregnancy/baby), etc. to ensure you are as anxiety free as possible. In a world where so much can be planned with a very good chance of certainty, pregnancy is one of those things that remain uncertain. Do your utmost to stay upbeat as so much lays in balance, focus positive energy into the situation.

I wish you success and everything your heart desires. If you ever want to talk-feel free to message me anytime.

Hugs-
CK

Thanks for the encouragement. I have actually started yoga4fertility, using fertility balls, and eating all of the recommended foods. We have actually decided to wait until May now to start our cycle due to work related trips we both have in March & April. This will also give me more time to get involved in yoga as a routine and be more prepared mentally and physically for the new round. Whenever the fear and doubt creep in I try to switch my brain to thoughts of me pregnant or things I will buy, how we will decorate the nursery, etc. I am focusing on the positives each day and enjoying the simple pleasures in life.

Are you using progesterone injections and estrogen patches to help maintain the pregnancy after IVF? this is really important. Good luck on your next cycle hope turns out okay.
